Appleton Thorn Primary School

The children and staff at Appleton Thorn Primary School are delighted to be working towards a new accreditation of the International Schools Award (ISA) after planning a variety of global themed activities. This page will be dedicated to sharing these activities as they are completed over the coming months through photographs, example activities and evaluations. We currently enjoy two international partnerships with schools in France and Denmark, both of whom will be involved in the activities we have planned. Following a successful link with Kirkebakkeskolen in Vejle, Denmark last year, we have been fortunate to link with Englystskolen (also in Vejle) for the 2024-2025 school year. Our school has also forged a new partnership with Saint-Gene La Salle, a catholic education establishment in Bordeaux, France through the British Council's partner-school finder tool. We are pleased to have a French link to complement our MFL curriculum through enrichment activities and eventual exchange visits.
