Reception EYFS Autumn Term
Reception children are discovering more about themselves through the theme the 'Only One You' by Linda Kranz. Additional stories that the children are sharing and enjoying are 'Peace At Last' by Jill Murphy and Home by Caron Ellis. The curriculum is designed around the children's interests and they design many of the learning opportunities.

Year 1 Autumn Term
The children in year 1 are challeging themselves through the stories of Paddington Bear by Michael Bond and Lost and Found by oliver Jeffers under the theme umberella of 'Intrepid Explorers'. Year 2 Autumn Term
Children in year 2 during the Autumn Term are learning through the curriculum drivers of History and Science-Materials and The Great Fire of London. In addition, children will explore the story of 'The three little wolves and the big bad pig' by Eugene Trivizas and Helen Oxenbury. The theme is entitled 'Pepys, Pudding Lane and Pigs'. Year 3 Autumn Term

Year 4 Autumn Term
This term children in year 4 are exploring Roman History and volcanoes through the Story 'Escape from Pompeii' by Christina Balit. Science this term is the digestive system, and the story of 'The Incredible Book Eating Boy' by Oliver Jeffers adds intrigue to this learning. Year 5 Autumn Term
Children in year 5 have the curriculum drivers: Science and Geography ‘Earth and Space’ including Rivers. Inspirational texts this term include; 'Queen of the Falls' by Chris Van Allsburg, 'Hidden Figures' by Margot-Lee Shetterly' , 'The Lost Happy Endings' by Carol Anne Duffy and curiosity in 'The story of a Mars rover' by Markus Motum. Year 6 Autumn Term
Year 6 are developing science, geography and art skills and knowledge through the wonderful books 'Kensuke’s Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo and 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. The children will also study Japan and Japanese art this term. The term's theme is entitled 'Survival of the Fittest'
